A Unique Retreat at Himalayan Institute Date: February 12th to February 14th, 2027 (In person) Time: Friday 7pm to Sunday 12noon Location: Himalayan Institute 952 Bethany Turnpike, Honesdale, PA 18431 In a world of constant change and uncertainty, one of the greatest gifts we can cultivate is a steady center within. Join us for a nourishing weekend retreat that weaves together the timeless wisdom of Daoist Qigong, Yoga, breath work, mantra, and Ayurveda to restore balance, build resilience, and awaken inner harmony. Through mindful movement, conscious breathing, meditation, and Ayurvedic teachings, you will discover practical tools to regulate your energy, calm the nervous system, strengthen your connection to your body's innate intelligence, and cultivate a deep sense of grounding amidst life's ever-changing currents. Together, we will explore how the Daoist understanding of Qi and the Ayurvedic understanding of the Doshas beautifully complement one another, offering a holistic path toward healing, vitality, emotional balance, and lasting well-being. Cat will guide yoga practices designed to balance the doshas by embodying the elemental qualities of Earth, Fire, and Water through grounding, warming, and uplifting sequences. She will also lead simple yet profound mantra chanting, inviting participants to focus the mind while experiencing the healing power of sacred vibration, which has a direct calming effect on the nervous system. Breathwork and hand mudras will further support and deepen this elemental balancing practice. Lorelei is delighted to share the deeply restorative Song Jin Gong (Relax Tendons Qigong is well known for helping body release tension and impactful for the qi flow), along with the returning-by-popular-demand Taiji Fan. Complementing the yoga and mantra practices, she will also introduce a powerful healing mantra from Zhineng Qigong, helping participants deepen their energetic awareness and strengthen the integration of yoga and Qigong into one harmonious practice. If your heart feels called, we invite you to join us for a special Saturday evening movement improvisation gathering—a joyful opportunity to explore the language of the body, allow your Qi to flow freely, express your authentic rhythm, and let your spirit sing in community. Whether you are new to these traditions or an experienced practitioner, this retreat offers a welcoming space to reconnect with your natural rhythm, nourish body, mind, and spirit, and return home with greater clarity, balance, vitality, and ease. Come as you are, and leave feeling more rooted, centered, and empowered to navigate an ever-changing world with grace and resilience. $349 (plus taxes & service fee total: $369.94) REFUND POLICY 30% refundable if you cancel before December 1 NO REFUND if you cancel after December 1 Teachers' bios Cat Lynch Capowski LCSW, M.Ed.
